WPSI was initiated in response to ACOG’s dedication to the advancement of women’s healthcare. Through this five-year cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), ACOG is engaging a coalition of national health professional organizations and consumer and patient advocates with expertise in women’s health to develop, review and recommend updates to the current Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines.
In order to help spread the word of and promote the initiative, FreshySites was consulted to create the branding and logo for WPSI and develop a corresponding website that would effectively share information about the initiative to a wide variety of audiences. Additionally, FreshySites designed the current abridged report and will also be designing the full report that will be available in mid-February.
Recently, the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) announced an update to the Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines and provided their support of the WPSI clinical recommendations. The Guidelines aim to improve women’s health across the lifespan by identifying preventive services and screenings to be used in clinical practice. Topics for future consideration can be submitted here and are accepted on a rolling basis.
The website designed by FreshySites is currently being shared across an HRSA press release announcing the updates. Read the full press release HERE! FreshySites also encourages everyone to take a look at the WPSI Abridged Report to learn more about the initiative at womenspreventivehealth.org/final-report!
