We are excited to share this week’s featured website – Women’s Preventative Services Initiative!
FreshySites is honored to have received the privilege of contributing their services to the Women’s Preventative Services Initiative, launched on March 1st of this year by The American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the largest ob-gyn association in the nation.
WPSI was initiated in response to ACOG’s dedication to the advancement of women’s healthcare. Through this five-year cooperative agreement with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), ACOG is engaging a coalition of national health professional organizations and consumer and patient advocates with expertise in women’s health to develop, review and recommend updates to the current Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines.
These recommendations, if adopted, will help ensure that women receive a comprehensive set of preventative services without having to pay a co-payment, co-insurance or deductible, ultimately improving the health of women across their lifespan.
In order to help spread the word of the initiative and further the conversation, FreshySites was consulted to create the branding and logo for WPSI and develop a corresponding website that would effectively share information about the initiative to a wide variety of audiences.
Not only does this website share information on the initiative, but it also actively encourages participation in the discussion. Draft recommendations are posted with a request for public comment. Any visitor can access these documents and submit their impressions and feedback. Site visitors also have the opportunity to submit a topic for further discussion that relates to women’s overall wellness.
Working with ACOG and all involved with WPSI was an absolute pleasure, and FreshySites encourages everyone to take a look at their new website and learn more about the initiative at www.womenspreventivehealth.org!
