The northern Virginia code and coffee group helps developers and designers from all skill levels meet up for a hot drink over different projects to informally get to know each other in a communal space while providing insights on technical insights and networking incentives. Attending is a great way to meet new clients and other professionals to help you in whatever stage of professional development you’re in.

- Using different content management systems (CRMs) across web development projects can be a hassle, and this particular web accessibility course wants to makes things a little easier when using Drupal. It covers everything from recreating and solving common coding errors from other CRMs, design considerations for different projects, and namely how to make a site as accessible for new visitors as possible without losing technical sophistication.

- The annual Digital Summit program in the city is a large conglomeration of different professionals from wide net of fields who all regularly use digital marketing skills to improve their businesses. The program covers a variety of marketing techniques, including content marketing, SEO guidance and updates, A/B optimization, using artificial intelligence in 2020, and plenty more. It’s a very popular place to connect with other professionals in the area, and while it doesn’t start until September of next year, tickets are already being sold!

- A community-led software development conference, this popular venue kicks things off on September 5th at 8:30am and ends at 5:00pm the same day. Their speakers and critical topics come from all kinds of software specialties, from how to optimize your website for mobile viewing to decentralizing API architectures to boot camps for new coders looking to jump-start a new skill set. Since DevFest is so volunteer-driven, attendees can expect frank discussions about the effectiveness of using different methods and technology instead of selling a particular product for brand awareness.
