Calling all experienced artists, creatives or crafters who have always wanted a retail presence in an arts district! This week’s featured site promotes the Scranton “KickStart Art” Challenge!
FreshySites was honored to have the opportunity to collaborate with the University of Scranton SBDC to develop a website that helps to promote the amazing opportunity for local artists and outlines the criteria for submission.
The goal of the “KickStart Art” challenge is to encourage and reward more creative and arts-focused businesses to locate in downtown Scranton. Successful participants will be awarded tenancy in a Bogart Boutique Shop and receive six months of FREE Rent to help them establish their new retail shop.
The award to the successful participants is meant to help early-stage and existing creative businesses take their business to the next level and establish a storefront in the unique Bogart Court Boutique Shops.
These boutique spaces on the European-like street known as Bogart Court are located in the rear of the renovated buildings on the 500 block of Lackawanna Avenue in downtown Scranton. This one-of-a-kind destination location is at the entranceway to the planned Iron Arts District and a short walk from the historic Scranton Iron Furnaces.
Finalists will also have the opportunity to create pop-up shops in the spaces on Bogart Court where the public will have the chance to visit, bringing free marketing exposure to your work and assisting the selection committee in deciding which boutique shops will become a permanent part of the Renaissance at 500.
Interested in participating? Don’t wait – submissions are due July 14, 2016. Find out more about submission criteria and important contest dates at thekickstartart.com.
