We are excited to share this week’s featured website – Time To Learn Wicomico!
The Maryland State Education Association recently contacted FreshySites with a request to build a site for the Wicomico County School System. The goal was to develop a site that advocated for reduced testing in Wicomico schools, which is substantially higher than statewide averages. Wicomico County educators recognize that too much standardized testing does not help their students do better in school – or in life, and that the county testing is the most intrusive to the learning process.
FreshySites took on the project and worked up the logo and entire branding surrounding the campaign with the Wicomico County and MSEA team. Gabrielle Givens, the Electronic Communication Specialist for the MSEA, is happy to have worked with FS on this important project:

Each page incorporates an artistic education theme while conveying important information and enlightening statistics, making the site both visually appealing and engaging. The functionality of the site allows parents and educators to get involved in outreach by inviting them to share their personal experiences with standardized testing, sign the petition, and keep updated with news about the initiative.
