I am very happy with how the whole process went. The way they organized everything and laid out the design for me to comment on was very professional. Everyone was quick to respond to emails and explained everything clearly, so communication was easy with the whole group. Seamless merger of two ecommerce websites into one adds ease and efficiency

Freshy worked with the Azelis team to combine two distinct websites into one cohesive website and ecommerce storefront. Both sites were previously based in WordPress and WooCommerce on individual installations with upwards of 250 total products combined. Our goal was to quickly and efficiently redesign both sites’ product catalogs as well as combine two distinct business segments into one united brand and website.
Freshy provided a phased approach in order to hit the goal launch date, which we completed successfully. The Phase 1 + 2 launch included the full WooCommerce migration of 250+ products and redesign of 50 key website pages, all completed within a 3 month period.
We also added and optimized website features such as a product finder. This allows the user to narrow down their product search based on category, manufacturer and active product ingredient.
Key website features
The Azelis team had the unique challenge of combining two stand alone websites into one. A major part of this task was migrating all products from both sites and reconfiguring them on one WooCommerce installation. The initial migration included over 250+ unique products, and now houses 360+ products.
One major challenge Azelis faced was getting their customers to the right product quickly. The product finder allows the user to narrow down based on criteria they know best such as active ingredient. With widely varying market segments, this functionality is vital to ensure the end user has the best browsing experience possible. Freshy’s product finder makes use of several data inputs to guide the user through the process.
Another factor in the Azelis site that needed to be considered was the need for users to be able to both place and pay for orders as well as request a quote on specific products. With a large volume of products, the Freshy team provided the ability to turn the request a quote function to be turned on or off based on category. This allows for easy expansion and change within the product catalog over time.
Similar to the request a quote functionality, there was a need for different products to appear visually different. This was achieved by creating two custom product page templates. The template a specific product shows is dependent upon the product category. This makes it easy for the Azelis team to showcase different product features without having to adjust any code.
Through our research and discovery process we found that there was a need for customer education. Azelis already had a great base of content and articles to pull from, which the Freshy team imported from the two original websites. We then separated into distinct categories and found ways to include the educational content throughout the website.
