A fresh new business gets a boost from the City of Binghamton.
Freshy Sites, a website and search engine optimization company, won the 2013 City of Binghamton business plan competition.
Freshy Sites has been in business for two years and has a storefront on Front Street downtown.
The company’s prize? $5,000 in cash as well as an advertising package from the Press and Sun and other professional services.
The company’s owner looks to use the prize to expand.
“We’re looking at getting a Binghamton University or Broome Community College intern to come on board with us at our company. So the majority of the money will go towards personnel and also capital equipment,” said Ben Giordano, Owner of Freshy Sites.
The 5th annual competition is a partnership between the City of Binghamton and Broome Community College’s Entrepreneurial Assistance Program.
