The Southern Tier Opportunity Coalition (STOC ) proudly presents its fifth in a series of supply chain workshops:

“Practical Business Forecasting Workshop”

During this forecasting workshop participants will learn:

  • Principles of Forecasting
  • Types of demand
  • Qualitative & quantitative forecasting techniques
  • Time series decomposition
  • Simple moving average forecasts
  • Calculating seasonal indices to adjust for seasonality
  • Measuring forecast error
  • Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
  • Collaborative Planning, Forecasting & Replenishment

Instructors are practicing business forecasters who will walk participants through simple examples of calculations.

Binghamton, NY Speaker Biography

Patrick Rogan, CPIM

Patrick Rogan is a resource management professional with experience in the manufacturing and service delivery environments. His current position is Supply Chain Manager with MeadWestvaco Consumer and Office Products, Sidney, NY. His experience includes forecasting, budgeting, planning and materials management. Patrick developed a key customer forecasting process and system at MeadWestvaco. He then helped to develop a collaborative forecasting process, sharing forecasts and point-of-sale data with several key customers.

Patrick is Certified in Production and Inventory Management by APICS, the Society for Resource Management. He holds a Master of Arts in Economics and Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Social Sciences from Binghamton University. Patrick is an adjunct professor at Broome Community College where he teaches Microeconomics. He is an Associate APICS Instructor and teaches resource management and CPIM certification review courses. He has presented to numerous local and regional APICS Chapters and the Southern Tier Opportunity Coalition (STOC) on supply chain and business planning topics.
